Rite Aid Sucks!
I've had it with rite aid.  Time after time they treat their customers like dirt.  I am personally boycotting them and will not patronize their establishment again.  This is not because of a one time thing, but has been building up over time.  Several times we have dropped prescriptions off and have been told to come back at a certain time.  When we return at that time the prescription is still not ready.  Last week my wife dropped off a prescription for my daughter.  Along with the prescription she dropped of our insurance card.  The prescription was dropped off at 6 and we were told to return after 8.  I returned to the store at 9.  When I asked about the prescription the 2 girls behind the counter looked confused, they couldn't find it.  After spelling my last name 3 times for them they finally found the Card and script.  It still was not filled.  I had to wait another 45 minutes to finally get the script. This appears to be standard rite aid operating procedure.  I cannot recall a prescription ever being ready when they said it would be.

Today I dropped off some film to get developed.  Now I usually don't use rite aid for pictures because I've had horrible experiences before.  They have ruined several rolls of film with dots and splotches all over the negatives. Last year they had no idea how to make 5X7's from a negative. After looking through the book with the girl and showing her that there is pricing for 5X7's she finally agreed to "give it a try".  The prints were so dark they were unusable. I finally took them to Eckerd and they produced 5 5X7 prints in less than an hour.  I began using Eckerd on Aramingo Ave for my film processing and have been more than happy with their film department.  I went there today and for the first time in, my experience, their machine was down.  I really wanted the prints right away so I figured I would try rite aid again.  What a BIG MISTAKE.  I dropped the film off around 3:30.  The kid with the curly hair tells me to leave it on the counter right in front of the film machine.  Now this is supposed to be 1 hr developing, so I come home and finish watching the Eagles game. When that is over I switch to the Nascar Race.  I figure I'll give them so extra time just in case.  Around 6 O'clock I head over.  I walk into the store and guess where my film is.  It still on the counter, right in front of the film machine where I left it 2 and a half hours ago.  I vent my disgust and now the girl grabs my film and says let me run it through rite now it won't take long.  Well if it doesn't take long then why did it sit their for 2 and a half hours and nobody touched it?  I politely declined her offer fearing of what might happen to my film and prints if they rush it through. I ask for my film back.  As I got into my car angry and frustrated I decided this is the best place to vent my disgust with there organization.  Maybe if enough people from Bridesburg boycott them they will close this branch. Then maybe we could get a company in here that cares about their customers.  Tomorrow I am calling my insurance company and switching my insurance plan to have my scripts filled at target.  I will post my experiences with target when my next prescription is filled there.  If you have had a similar experience please let me know and I will post it here.  I have removed rite aid then from my Bridesburg A to Z index.
